Regular contact with Activation Server

AQT will contact the Activation Server on a regular basis (e.g. every 5 days). This is to keep track of when your license was last used.

This change was implemented on request from a number of customers to help identify licenses which are no longer in use.

This process:

runs as a background process so will not have an impact on the running of AQT
will not have a negative impact if it fails or cannot contact our Activation Server.
Note that you can see whether this is happening by looking either in the Debug file or with Options > Diagnostics > Show Errors.
does not send any form of personal information to our Activation Server. All it sends is the license key plus internal identifier of the user/machine.

If your license has been deactivated or rescinded then you may be put back into evaluation mode. If this happens you need to reactivate your license or contact us for assistance.
