As with AQT v11, there is the option for customers to use a License Server, rather than the Activation process. This is only available for customers with a Single Key license.
A License Server runs at the customers site and has a number of differences to the activation process
every time it starts, AQT will contact the License Server to request permission to run. If a user has been disabled, or the license has hit the limit, permission will be denied and the user's AQT session will run in evaluation mode.
customers will have up-to-date and accurate information about which users are using AQT, and when they last used it.
customers will be able to manage the license-usage themselves. This includes the ability to identify and remove inactive or termed users.
